The Scotland Funds was born in 2004 with the financial support of three prominent members of the Scottish business community. Its two founding directors, Jim Mather MSP and Dick Mungin (now the Funds’ Chief Executive) were joined by three MSP directors. The charity also has the support of the Scottish Parliament’s Cross Party Group on Enterprise and the Economy. Since these early days, the Board has expanded to include directors from the world of business and now comprises:
• Tom Hamilton, Chairman of The Scotland Funds and property entrepreneur
• Murdo Fraser, Member of the Scottish Parliament
• Alex Neil, Member of the Scottish Parliament
• Gordon Jackson QC
• Trevor Matthews, Chief Executive, Standard Life Assurance
• Angus Tulloch, fund manager
• Derek Reid, former CEO the Scottish Tourist Board and marketing specialist
The Directors of The Scotland Funds may come from different backgrounds but they share a common commitment to make Scotland as prosperous and vibrant as it can be...
