Lumison are the latest corporate partners to join The Scotland Funds. As a key player in the UK business ISP market, Lumison was founded and remains headquartered in Scotland. It owns and manages a datacentre facility on the outskirts of Edinburgh and is part of the vibrant IT services infrastructure in Scotland.

The Scotland Funds continues its development work in the USA and is presently in discussion with a number of prominent Scots Americans to establish an organisation with charitable status and a national board of directors in America.

The Scotland Funds launched in Canada on 28th November in Toronto and 30th November in Vancouver.

 

The Toronto event took place at the National Club in the financial district and was jointly organised with Globalscot.

 

Over 100 guests heard the keynote speech by the Rt Hon George Reid MSP Presiding officer of the Scottish Parliament.

 

Guests represented the leading Scots Canadian organisations in the city and numerous prominent corporate figures, including Globalscots also attended.

 

Dick Mungin, CEO of The Scotland Funds, spoke on the subject of the recently completed report, the Scots in Canada, which for the very first time draws a detailed demographic picture of the Scots diaspora community in Canada.
